| Dragonfly is a registered cow but don't always breed her to a registered bull due to her unusual horn shape and her very strong tendency to throw white calves. Her pedigree includes Emperor, Classic and Red McCombs breeding. We have retained one heifer out of Dragonfly, JP Abby X2, by a Black Angus bull. Dragonfly's '03 calf was a dun bull, JP Jessie James, that we sold as a riding steer. Fly had a bull calf born 4-25-08 by SCC Renegade with the most unusual color we have ever seen. We have named him JP USS Hassayampa AO-145 after the ship Julie's father Jim served on during Viet Nam. We will be evaluating him for another potential riding steer. Fly is being bred back to San Saba for her '09 calf. | |
